I finally put up an official homepage about 12 years later than I should have so I kept the design in the tradition of the best of 1996 web design. Check out everything you need to know about adam dorfman here.

I realize this post comes across as a bit self-serving but there's a reason for it as it is self-serving. I have a brand spankin' new website out that desperately needs links so what better way than to promote it on a blog I abandoned over two years ago? Anyways it's called LocalHotelDirectory and I'm pretty dang proud of it.

I had forgotten about this Albini Article but it reminds me that one day I hope to have gone through the heartbreak of signing with a major label.

Does anybody else think Múm have turned into the Yanni of the Morr glitchy ambient indie scene?

For real, their stuff just keeps getting more obvious, more sappy and more annoying with each album.*

*My feelings about this new album in no way reflects my feeling toward Spice, a big proponent of this and the reason I'm listening to it now.

The item description for this Versace Flatware Set eBay auction is almost as good as the one for the wedding dress.

NEW FEATURE ALERT!
From here on out every Thursday I am going to list five songs that I'm currently digging. If you have any taste in music, you'll go out and buy them immediately. And by "buy" I mean download.*

1. Soulwax - "This is the Excuse"
---A DFA sounding, dancefloor shaking, groove maker from the 2manyDj guys

2. Felix Da Housecat - "Everyone is Someone in LA"
---Felix went punk for his new album and it kicks ass in so many ways.

3. Brides of Destruction - "I Don't Care"
---With lyrics like Kickin out the jams like the MC5, You're a nuclear bomb in a cold nosedive. and hooks galore, Nicki Sixx and Traci Gunns are back bringing some glam (and guitar solos) to the garage rock scene.

4. Nine Inch Nails - "Sin"
---Do yourself a favor and put on Pretty Hate Machine if you haven't listened to it in four or five years. It's even better than you remember.

5. Peter Pan Speedrock - "Go Satan Go"
---Question: How awesome is Rockabilly punk metal from Scandinavia? Answer: Balls to the wall awesome.

*I stole that line from a friend.
