Soulwax - "This is the Excuse"
---A DFA sounding, dancefloor shaking, groove maker from the 2manyDj guys

2. Felix Da Housecat - "Everyone is Someone in LA"
---Felix went punk for his new album and it kicks ass in so many ways.

3. Brides of Destruction - "I Don't Care"
---With lyrics like Kickin out the jams like the MC5, You're a nuclear bomb in a cold nosedive. and hooks galore, Nicki Sixx and Traci Gunns are back bringing some glam (and guitar solos) to the garage rock scene.

4. Nine Inch Nails - "Sin"
---Do yourself a favor and put on Pretty Hate Machine if you haven't listened to it in four or five years. It's even better than you remember.

5. Peter Pan Speedrock - "Go Satan Go"
---Question: How awesome is Rockabilly punk metal from Scandinavia? Answer: Balls to the wall awesome.

*I stole that line from a friend.

If you are in need of some streaming music to pass the day, this fansite contains dozens of mixes from 2manyDJs.

To the guy on the cellphone walking down Ontario Ave. around 11:50 last night:

While I'm fully cognizant of the fact that I'm losing my hair, it was still nice of you to point it out to me.

Just back from Laurent Garnier @ Soundbar. It's the first time I've been out specifically to see a DJ in a long while and he didn't disappoint. From house to techno to micro to electro to breaks to industrial to rock'n'roll, he fused so many disparate styles so seamlessly it was mindblowing at times. It's not often you here a track sequence like: The Prodigy - "Out of Space" (remix) - The Rapture "House of Jealous Lovers" (remix) - The White Stripes "7 Nation Army" (remix) - a Nitzer Ebb remix - Nirvana "Lithium" MIXED together.

There's only one word for that: retarded.

He also played a Stone Roses remix, a New Order remix and tons of stuff I've never heard before but am gonna have to track down now...

The only downside of the night was forgetting my earplugs. Sold out Squarepusher show on Friday night. (I guess somebody was ecstatic that they got my ticket).
2. DJing the midnight slot at B's party that was so ridiculously crazy she shut it down at 1:30.
3. Sunday lunch with my Grandmother.
4. The anti-Easter party & Sopranos @ J&W's.
5. Getting anything done music wise.

I'm still feeling pretty lousy but double K sent me off with a bag full of drugs, vitamins and other stuff to make me feel better and (hopefully) get through the day. This is the first time in years I've had a g-friend while being sick and I had forgotten how nice it is to have somebody there to pamper you instead of the usual roommate telling you to "stay the fuck away from me sick-boy."

Ok, back to the mess that is our new and improved network.
